Val Vista Vision is the only practice in Gilbert that can provide you with state-of-the-art Diopsys vision screening. Here is how this cutting edge technology can preserve your vision.

How Diopsys helps

Diopsys is an innovative vision test that can detect glaucoma three years earlier than other tests. This is important because over 3 million Americans have glaucoma but don’t know it, and if left untreated for too long, glaucoma can cause blindness.

Additionally, this technology can detect papilledema and other retinal issues.

How it works

Diopsys is a painless, non-invasive test that measures visual processing speed and other factors that contribute to the functioning of your vision, in a way that no other test is able to do.

What to expect

Sensory pads will be placed under your eyelids or on your head. Using one eye at a time, you’ll be asked to watch a series of light flashes or changing black and white patterns.

The sensors will record the speed and strength with which your eyes communicate this information to the brain. It can also measure how well your retina is functioning. Your retina is responsible for reacting to light and sending nerve impulses to your brain, where they are transformed into the visual images you see.
